🌸 An Illustrated Story

Chapter 1: A Special Day

Many, many years ago, in a world filled with stone roads and ancient cities, a story was born—one that we still tell today.

Every February 14, people celebrate Saint Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to love, friendship, and kind feelings.

But Saint Valentine’s Day did not begin with cards and hearts. It began with a kind man who truly believed in love and in helping others.

Chapter 2: Valentine, the Kind Priest

In the ancient city of Rome, there lived a priest named Valentine. He was known for his generous heart and for helping people no matter who they were. Valentine taught that love, friendship, and faith could make the world a better place.

Valentine enjoyed helping couples, children, and the sick. He always had a smile and kind words for everyone.

Chapter 3: An Unjust Punishment

In those days, the emperor Claudius II did not allow people to freely practice their Christian faith. When he learned about Valentine, he ordered him to be arrested.

Valentine was taken to a dark prison, but even there he continued to show love and hope.

“Do not be afraid,” he said. “Love is always stronger than hate.”

Chapter 4: Julia’s Miracle

The jailer’s name was Asterius, and he had a daughter named Julia, who could not see. Valentine spoke with her every day and taught her about the world—the flowers, the sky, and the colors.

One day, Valentine prayed for Julia… and something wonderful happened.
Julia was able to see for the first time.

Asterius and his entire family believed in Valentine’s message of love.

Chapter 5: “Your Valentine”

On the night before his execution, Valentine wrote a letter to Julia. In it, he wished her love, peace, and hope. At the end, he signed it lovingly:

“From your Valentine.”

That letter became the first Valentine card in history.

After his death, Julia planted a pink-blossomed almond tree near his grave as a symbol of everlasting love and true friendship.

Chapter 6: A Living Legacy

As time passed, Saint Valentine came to be remembered as the patron saint of love, couples, and friendship. His story was shared from generation to generation, eventually becoming the special day we celebrate today.

Every card, every kind gesture, and every loving word keeps Saint Valentine’s message alive:

💖 Love always finds a way to bloom.

The End 🌹
